Friendly Carlisle Grounds 16 February 2010 Wanderers went down to their fourth pre-season defeat to premier division opposition in this goal feast. Jason Byrne had the first chance after five minutes but he headed over from Brennan's corner. Jake Kelly had Wanderers' first effort on goal on 19 minutes but he shot over Barry Murphy’s crossbar. Paul Keegan’s cross from the right on 25 minutes was diverted just wide by Byrne at the near post. Two minutes later, Byrne opened the scoring after been set up by Brennan’s pass. Bohs added a second on 35 minutes when Cretaro headed home Keegan’s cross from the right. Two minutes later Ian Tuohy’s cross was headed just wide by Dean Barrett for Wanderers. On 42 minutes Brian Kane saved well from Byrne’s 25 yard drive. Wanderers reduced the deficit three minutes into the second half when Shane O’Neill broke through on the left and shot under the advancing Murphy. Bohs restored the two goal lead when Brennan’s corner was bundled in by Oman on 56 minutes. On 67 minutes Shane O’Neill fired home from 30 yards for his third pre-season goal in two games to give Wanderers a lifeline. Bohs keeper Murphy had to race from his line on 71 minutes to deny O’Neill as the striker tried to latch onto Mulroy’s through ball. Bohs then went on a scoring spree, scoring four times in six minutes through Killian Brennan, Mark Quigley (twice) and Keegan. Dean Zambra forced Murphy to turn his effort around the post on 85 minutes. From the resultant corner Colm Tresson scored at the second attempt at the back post to complete the night’s scoring.
